Vaughn Gets A Birthday Gift. Targeting Campbell To Replace Yobo?
By: DJR | July 16th, 2007
Everton beat N. Ireleand (2-0) in a pre-season friendly this past weekend and striker James Vaughan made the most of his 19th birthday by scoring in the 27th minute. The youngster seemed to partner very well with strikemate Andy Johnson and the two will hopefully cause havoc for the entire Premiership this season.
The other news coming out of cyber space is that the Toffees are targeting Sol Campbell from Portsmouth to possibly replace Joseph Yobo, who could be moving to Stuttgart in Germany soon. Moyes is supposedly going to offer up £1m for the former England Internationals services.
This is the best we can do? Sol Campbell? I know it would be nice to get some more defensive help but come on.

why is moyes messing with the defense? we’re already pretty solid with yobo, lescott, stubbs and (kind of) the recent addition of jags. i’m all for getting more defensive help because everyone can be better, but god forbid moyes sells yobo. the only reason i can think of for him to sell yobo is only to get more money to spend on other players
