Sir Moyes of Goodison we need some new signings!

By: John | July 25th, 2009

With 3 weeks until the the new season starts things aren’t looking too great in our recruitment drive so far! Good work by Moyes getting Jo back on loan but so far we’ve only bought Shkodran Mustafi (a 17 year old defender from Hamburg) and Anton Peterlin (a 22 year old midfielder from a 4th division American team).

What we don’t want is a repeat of the start of last season.

What we need are a couple of experienced defenders and a midfield rottweiler – a hard tackler who can compliment the attacking nature of Pienaar, Arteta, Tim and Ossie. Fellaini was bought as a defensive midfielder but seems to have a more forward attacking nature.

Moyes has stated that bringing defenders in is the top priority and he’s 100% right (as usual!). Jags will miss the start of the season and there is still the possibility of Lescott joining City. The full back area is also in need of reinforcements.

All Everton fans, myself included, have complete faith in the manager – his recent transfer record speaks for itself so hopefully we’ll see some new faces very soon! COYB’s!
