pesky Hull City ahead
By: 21 | September 20th, 2008That’s all I can say about Hull City. They are simply “pesky” and a bit on the pushy side as well. Whats this entire thingy about being promoted into the Premier League and being in the upper reaches of the table. Where did tradition go?
Don’t they realize that when you’re promoted you spend most of year being trampled 3 or 4-0, squeeze out a draw now and then and think merrily towards hitting forty points. Well, these scallywags are off and running with eight points in four matches and have thrown the entire tradition of beating-up on the new club out the window. Quite obviously they need to review the Wigan match, which they lost appropriately 5-0 and respected the sporting tradition.
That said, David Moyes and the Toffees have quite a match ahead. After the Standard Liège match (recall that the Belgium club is “feisty” whilst Hull is “pesky”) Everton now has to deal with Hull City that is quite naturally gaining confidence and likely to have ex-Boro George Boateng and Daniel Cousin who came in from the Rangers. Everton should have Marouane Fellaini in the mix but Victor Anichebe is questionable given a nasty injury against (feisty) Standard Liège.
The major point, if I can sound so serious, is how Tim Cahill,Mikel Arteta,Marouane Fellaini and Leon Osman work together. Along with Victor Anichebe they give Everton an exciting offense that can play with the best of them.
Drop by during the match as I’m not going to this one and tell me why you support the Toffees.

I wouldn’t say I support the Toffees (don’t really have a team in England), but I am a David Moyes fan, and want him someday for the Scotland helm, so Everton has my best wishes. Teach those Hull boys some respect.
