Injury woes continue for James Vaughan
By: 21 | November 28th, 2008James Vaughan’s injury problems continue as the club revealed he will be out till early 2009 with a knee injury. Full of pace, the twenty year-old has been riddled with injuries and anchoring the promise of the U21 England capped striker.
Everton head physiotherapist Mick Rathbone commented on the injury:
“James twisted his right knee last Friday. He will be out until the new year. The only saving grace is that it is not the knee he has had so much trouble with in the past.”
Unfortunately this is a rather “textbook” consequence of a player rushing back from injury as he had surgery on his left knee earlier this year. Independent sources confirmed to me that his return was to soon and further questions the clubs off-pitch training protocols that are quietly said to be the crux of many problems.
