If he doesn’t want to wear the shirt then he must go!
By: John | August 6th, 2009
Moyes turned him from a Championship defender in a top-half-of-the-table team to one of the top defenders in the Premier League and an England international and now he wants to got to City.
According to the papers Joleon Lescott could be a City player in the next few days for £22 million. The only upside being we will have made a tidy £17 million profit if it all goes through.
All in all it is very disappointing news but if a player no longer wants to wear the shirt then get rid of him and move on.
I think we’ve shown over the years, and particularly last season, that we thrive on adversity so losing Lescott will just make us stronger and the boys will pull together. We should have at least £25 million to spend on new players which could be a blessing in diguise.
We’ll see what happens over the next few days…

lescott or no lescott
everton still would be up there threatening the top4
cant say the same about money cityn the line
everton thrives on adversity
is the best way to describe everton for the last 3 years

though one thing i be worried about if i were an everton fan is what would moyes do witht he money-certainly a centre half would be much needed cos jagielka is out for a long time-n lescott n jagielka were responisble for the solid everton defense that kept them at 5th

If you give up 6 goals with Lescott, you might as well let him leave.
