Hull City visits Goodison

By: 21 | January 10th, 2009

Hull City visits Goodison Park today with David Moyes’ side in sixth place and poised only three points behind Arsenal. Curiously the Toffees have been one of the Premier League’s best closed when on the road but their form has disappeared in front of their loyal supporters. The test is to now continue the play that saw them take apart Sunderland 3-0 and to maintain their four match unbeaten string.

While long-term injuries still weigh down the roster, Everton is slowly seeing their forces return. Segundo Castillo and Victor Anichebe are both fully fit however Nigerian international Joseph Yobo will be missed from the back-line. Marouane Fellaini is likely to be sat as he is perilously close to suspension given a build-up of yellow-cards for the ex-Standard Liège man. Whether or not David Moyes decides to sit him for the match is still the question of the day and it could lead to Timmy Cahill being pressed into the role of striker once again with Dan Gosling showing why he is such a highly rated member of England’s U-19 lineup.
