Everton is pushing hard for the top five!

By: 21 | January 12th, 2009

Encouraged by recent form Steven Pienaar says Everton is pushing hard for a top five finish:

“Our performance in the last few games have been improving and if you compare us to the start of the season, we are unrecognisable.

“Even before we played Aston Villa, things had started to improve but we have kept going ever since then and we are pushing hard for the top five.

“It’s a big blow to lose (Marouane Fellaini) Felli – he’s been important for the team, he scores goals and he is in the heart of the midfield and we will miss him in such an important match,. But we will get on with it.

“We have got some difficult fixtures ahead of us. But these are the games that you want to be involved in and we want to test ourselves against the best.

“I’m looking forward to it and so are the rest of the guys. We are playing really well and we want that run to continue for as long as possible.”
