i think that corner might still be a few blocks away….

Great job Everton! ChrisS, are you a fellow state-side Evertonian?

-

I am…where are you?

OK mate, don’t want to start a row or anything but can you just write one blog and edit it to update what is going on? Writing a seperate blog for every thought, this one being eight words long, means the whole of the Premier league page is taken up with a succession of Everton blogs. My 1000 word Spurs blog has now been pushed off the page for ‘Toffees are pressing, but vulnerable at the back.’ Not very fair is it, when you can just update one single blog?

-

Perhaps you could even do it in the messages, as Chris has done here:
http://spurs.theoffside.com/team-news/the-wankdorf-on-papiermuhlestrasse.html
Thanks mate.

Hi all, Jan here, the blog moderator of the Netherlands WorldCup blog. You probably know one or two of our players

>Everton team that seemed to have some gelling issues with the return of Marouane Fellaini and the start of Diniyar Bilyaletdinov
Effin this. I still don’t understand why Moyes when with Bilyaletdinov over Coleman.

-

Totally agree…the Saha start also perplexes me, is he trying to get him ready for Arsenal? Hope not

-

Will the Toffee fans remember Howard’s 9 saves or the 1 error? Interested to see where Pienaar ends up. Chris is DA MAN.

Well played today. We were woeful.

wat was the skore

No words, just brilliant. I remember speaking to my 6 year old little brother 3 minutes before the final whistle, talking about how close we came, and how much we should be proud, when Baines unleashed that beauty

this might bee the beer taling, but i hope your lot wins the cup. don’t tell no one.

Villa & Everton have thrown up some great games in the recent past and it is puzzling to see both team’s form dip so alarmingly this season. I’m so glad we have managed to string a few inws together and pull away from the bottom as it is looking tight down there, Villa are in real danger of going down, epsecially as the players seem to not like the manager and when you are de-motivated, it doesn’t matter how good you are.
I’m thinking goals in this one as neither side can keep a clean sheet – 2-2 I predict.

my initial thoughts were “noooooo!!” but now that i think of it, this does make sense. all the talk has been about Rodwell, but I think he is the guy we need to keep and build our team around going forwards. we can’t just sell all of our young prodigies (ex. Rooney) and just become a feeder for top clubs. he needs to stay, but Arteta is getting up there in age, and in a year or two we won’t get a very good return on our investment in him and it could be a waste. and 75,000 a week is a ton for a player who has been out as much as him. Ossie has filled the creative role on both flanks quite well in recent weeks, and Coleman looks to be the real deal on the right flank for years to come. while Arteta can be unstoppable at times, he is out far too often to be the sole creative force in our squad. if we can keep the rest of our core guys, i wouldn’t mind letting him go. also, Guaye, while very limited in experience, appears to have the skill set to be a creative force in our midfield once he gets a little more playing time under his belt. his versatility is great too, as he showed agaisnt Wolves, switching from center to right to left mid throughout his time on the pitch

true, Baines absolutely should have taken that first spot kick. there’s no need to change something like that unless someone is out/hurt/misses one. that being said, if Baines had hypothetically taken both and we got all 3 points, that would have been very unfair to Wigan, as we were poor throughout and struggled to create many memorable chances at all. we most certainly didn’t deserve 3 points.
also, it’s good that we have Mikky and Cahill back, but i disagree that they should have both started. Moyes should have rested one, or both, and eased them in as subs or against Man City next week, rather than rush them into the lineup. i know hindsight is 20/20, but i felt the same way as the lineups were announced pre-game

You have a few helpful ideas! Perhaps I should think of trying to do this myself. Respectfully

You should take part in a contest for one of the best blogs on the web. I will recommend this site!
