Arteta and Johnson Better Than Anyone in Merseyside
By: DJR | May 23rd, 2007
The last official Premiership stats of the year have been released and Mikel Arteta and Andy Johnson are listed in the top 12. Arteta placed 6th overall with AJ ranking 12. The Toffees had 5 players in the top 30 (Tim Howard(21), Phil Neville(27) and Joleon Lescott(30)), which was the second most behind Man. U (6) and better than Liverpool(4), Chelsea(3) and Arsenal(3).
Great job to all of the guys for their hard work. It just goes to show you that Liverpool isn’t the only team in Merseyside with talent these days. Hopefully we can add to that talent pool this off season and next years top ten list will be filled with Everton players.

That must be better than finishing, um, wait what place did you guys finish? And didn’t you guys win the Liverpool Senior Cup? Oh, wait, at least we withdrew… ha ha ha.

No love for the other guys, huh? Have your fun now because I have a feeling you won’t be laughing tonight. Kaka is gonna dismantle you guys today. I hope Crouch gets stuck in a tree on his way to the stadium.

Isn’t Arteta going back to Spain this summer anyway?
Everton isn’t even in the same league as Liverpool. This list should hold little value to anyone.

Arteta will be staying right where he is (I hope). As far as Everton not being in the same league as Liverpool, check the score lines when they played this year (3-0) Goodison Park and (0-0) Anfield. Does that look like their not in the same league. As for the list, if you hadn’t already noticed I’m new to The Offside and looking for material to blog about.

No, I got it. I’m just giving you a hard time because I’m a Liverpool fan. Welcome to the Offside.
But I’m pretty sure Arteta is heading back to Spain (Atletico/Real Zaragoza) and is a big reason his BFF, Xabi Alonso, might head back to Spain too.

No worries, I expected some form of harassment. Arteta is probably out the door, at least that’s what the rumors are saying, but I hope for the good of the team we can keep him.
